The Mac Bennett Story

Albert MacBennett, a seasoned accountant turned visionary entrepreneur, began his journey in Ghana's public sector. His early career was rooted in the cocoa industry—one of the country's most vital economic pillars. He started at the Cocoa Research Institute as a Senior Accounts Clerk, where he developed a strong foundation in financial management. He later joined the Ministry of Cocoa Affairs, serving on the Ashanti Cocoa Project as an Auditing Officer, where he ensured transparency and accountability in cocoa operations.

His dedication and expertise earned him a role at the Ghana Cocoa Board's Produce Buying Division, where he rose through the ranks to become a District Manager. There, he oversaw significant financial operations and coordinated large-scale produce purchases across various regions. After a long and distinguished career in public service, Albert retired in 2010.

But retirement did not mark the end of his ambitions. Drawing on his extensive experience and a passion for business, he ventured into the private sector, trading in iron rods and building materials. His integrity and financial acumen quickly set him apart, allowing him to grow a strong, reputable trading enterprise.

Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of his father, Bennett, Albert combined their names to form Mac Bennett—a tribute that symbolized legacy and vision. What began as a modest venture has evolved into one of Ghana's most respected hotel establishments.

Today, the Mac Bennett Hotel is more than a business—it is a legacy of resilience and purpose.
